How We Started
Founder, Zac Clark entered the exciting solar industry in 2013 because the technological developments in this sphere finally made solar solutions viable alternatives to traditional power providers!
Urban Currents was established by
Zac in 2015 with the vision of sourcing and developing reliable renewable energy projects for the South African Market.

Since its inception, Urban Currents has fitted over 100 residential properties with PV units that generate an average of 1.7 megawatts per day for their various clients. The majority of these units have the capability to store excess energy in their lithium battery banks.

Commercial Solutions
In 2016 Urban Currents recognised that there was also a huge demand in the commercial market for sustainable
and cost-effective solar power solutions
and branched out into this sector.

To date, Urban Currents has fitted thousands of commercial PV units generating over 19.5 megawatts per day on average for their clients. With the current unstable national power grid, South African companies are desperate for alternative power solutions to keep their businesses alive!
